About the Founder

Greetings, I am Joy Noel Vaughn, born and raised in Orangeburg, SC. I am the (2021) Ms. Sparkle Nation Ambassador and (2021) Ms. Fresh Faces USA - Artist of Altruism Ambassador, and C.E.O, Founder, and Director of JNV R.E.P.S.P.A.C.E. My mission is to be a reliable asset to the community by providing sincere service for the growth and development of our youth, young adults, and seniors!

My objective is to utilize my platforms to serve as a beacon of light in the areas of restoring creative artistic expression by helping to promote a healthy eating, mental stability, spiritual development, financial and reading literacy, wholistic living, healing through the arts, ministry, outreach, service, parental support. I strive to become an avid voice in the community as an advocate for the underprivileged, less fortunate, underserved, and underrepresented! My desire is to help change cultural and demographic statistics, political and social economic disadvantages, and to create an even playing field for all!

One of my newest goals is to bring an end to hatred, gun violence, domestic violence, suicide, high school dropouts, teenage pregnancy, and economic deprivation. With my platforms, I aim to bring awareness, prevention, and elimination of these disparities in the communities and global at large!

While in high school I was active in AFJROTC, Band, Emeralds of Distinction Step team, and Theatre. I was awarded Miss International Thespians Society, (2005) Most Dedicated Player- Orange Pride Band, (2005) Most Likely to Succeed-Orangeburg- Wilkinson Drama (2005) NAACP ACT-SO local and state finalist for Playwriting & Drama. Some of my outreach includes, giving blood to the Red Cross, bell ringing for the Salvation Army, Bone-Marrow Drive, American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, March of Dimes, Adopt- A- Hwy, feeding homeless, nursing homes, Domestic Violence and Breast Cancer Awareness and more!

My Bachelor of Arts Degree came from the renowned South Carolina State University in Dramatic Arts. While at SCSU, I completed two internships, Tecumseh Outdoor Drama and Maine State Music Theater, served as Piccolo Section Leader (3-years) for the Marching 101 Band and aided with High School Summer Band Camps. I accomplished (2005-2007) Most Spirited Female & Most Outstanding Freshman Marching 101 Band, (2008) Best in Properties, Most Promising Female Freshman- H-D Theater (2005) and danced with SCSU’s UJIMMA African Dance troupe.

I matriculated 10-months in an intensive Master of Arts in Teaching (Drama) Cohort, at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Additionally, I took courses in the Bachelor of Arts - Fashion Design Program, at the Art Institute of Charleston, and had the prestigious honor to have my garment showcased in the Charleston Food and Wine Festival (2016) and (2016) 1st Place Art Institute Chopped Winner.

In business my experiences vary from communications, customer service, education, hospitality, sales, to the arts (Dance, Drama, Music, Art, Fashion). I have certifications and affiliations which include CLIA (Cruise Line International Association), Travel Agent certification, and my personal businesses JNV GOLDMINDZ TRAVEL and JNV GOLDMINDZ RESTORATION & FINANCIAL LITERACY.

My distinguished organizations and affiliations include, (Charter) - ABWA Orangeburg Chapter, Alpha Psi Omega National Honorary Dramatic Society, (Charter) Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for Women, and the illustrious Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated!

In the community, I served as a panel dance and drama judge/ fill-in instructor for the (2017-2020) Orangeburg Consortium for the Arts; judge for the (2018) South Carolina Speech and Arts Festival held at SC State; and judge for the (2015) Miss Phi Mu Alpha Pageant! Some of my teaching experience, and volunteer work include Savannah Arts Academy Art Smarts Summer Camp, being an Assistant Director/ Choreographer for the musicals “Annie” at Marshall Elementary, “The Lion King”, and “The Wiz” at William J. Clark Middle School, “Aladdin” at Orangeburg Wilkinson High.

(2020), I served as dance instructor for the SPARKLE Virtual Summer Camp for kids! In (2021), I also mentored students with the Brittney Leshae Mentorship Summer Program, assisting to coach and teach entrepreneurship by also helping students start businesses! Working in the community has taught me to serve with purity of heart, be an example, build others up, and to highlight the jewels in others!

Professional highlights include serving as an Assistant Stage Manager for the Dorinda Clark Cole Fashion Show, taking an acting class with (actor) Clifton Powell, acting alongside professional (artists) Robin Givens, Demetria McKenny, Angela Winbush, Karen Clark Sheard, and Sean Blakemore in the stage play “Church Girl”. Finally, I am ready to transition into, and embark upon the next level in my professional and artistic career! I recently started my business JNV R.E.P.S.P.A.C.E (Royal Exquisite Peacock School of Performance, Arts, Catering, and Events)! At JNV R.E.P.S.P.A.C.E., (Royal Exquisite Peacock School of Performance, Arts, Catering and Events, we are using the ARTS to SAVE and transform lives! As your 2021 Ms. Sparkle Nation Ambassador and 2021 Ms. Fresh Faces Artist in Altruism, and CEO of JNV R.E.P.S.P.A.C.E, I will represent the organizations, the community and others with honesty, integrity, and diligence! I am ready and eager to empower, promote, and highlight opportunities to use the arts to change and save lives locally and around the world!

I am giving myself permission to LET MY LIGHT SHINE, and by doing so give others permission to do the same! In doing so, I will encourage others to BELIEVE, PURSUE, and ACHIEVE! Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, but powerful beyond measure! I look forward to learning, motivating, coaching, and sharing the JOY of the arts, therefore I believe I will be a great asset to all I encounter through Christ to serve! I press towards the mark of the high calling! Many are called, few are CHOSEN!
